Fifth Annual Digital Accessibility Self-Review

Michigan State University embraces a culture of diversity, equity and inclusion and is committed to providing accessible experiences for persons with disabilities. As part of this commitment, Major Administrative Units (MAUs) and Central Administrative Units (CAUs) reporting through the Office of the President are encouraged to submit an annual self-review of their digital accessibility program. The self-reviews measure the unit’s progress and improvements in ensuring digital programs, services, and activities are accessible. The self-review process also serves as the primary auditing mechanism for assessing progress toward the unit's Five-Year Plan and ensures compliance with the University's Web Accessibility Policy.

This is the fifth-year units have been asked to complete an annual digital accessibility self-review. This year, units are asked to complete their annual self-review on or before January 14, 2022.

Action Needed

The process for submitting annual self-reviews remains relatively unchanged from past years. The process will remain the same, however, we will also be asking for a summative overview of the past five years. Feedback will be less formal as we use responses to build a process that will continue past year five. By January 14, 2022, please review/update the Web Accessibility Policy Liaisons that represent your MAU/CAU and submit your unit's fifth annual Digital Accessibility Self-Review:
