The Disability and Accessibility Policies Training covers MSU’s obligations under disability laws and policies, explains your role in supporting employee and student accommodations, and covers principles of digital accessibility.
This training is accessed in AbilityLMS. Rollout is scheduled to begin the week of October 20, 2025. The training will be auto-assigned to all MSU employees. Employees will receive an email notification during this time. Once assigned, employees will have 30 days to complete the training. Once completed, certification is valid for two years.
The Disability and Accessibility Policies Training is an online self-paced training presented in three modules, with a short quiz following each module to check understanding. The estimated time to complete the training is 30-60 minutes. The training contains text-based modules and multiple-choice quizzes. The training does not contain audio or video. The training is screen reader compatible and supports keyboard navigation.
The Disability and Accessibility Policies Training was developed collaboratively by the Office for Civil Rights and Title IX Education and Compliance, MSU IT Educational Technology, the Resource Center for Persons with Disabilities, Employee and Labor Relations, the Enterprise Project Management Office, the Office for Inclusive Excellence and Impact, the Office for Faculty and Academic Staff Affairs, and the Office of Research Regulatory Support.
